Mark Twain was a ingenious writer and the father of American literature. He had no formal education beyond primary school. The name of Rabindranath Tagore, the world-renowned poet and writer of the Indian subcontinent, may come up in this context. He too, without having any formal education, became a world-renowned thinker and pioneer of various genres of Indian modern literature.

While talking about the secondary education system, he (Mark Twain) expressed his condemnation of the middle education system of that time in his quote. He believed that there was a huge difference between school education and real education and learning. He warned us about the dangers of following the ‘school education’ system with blind faith.
